The Books I have Read Lately

The fact that I have almost read six books in the week and a half since 2015 started kind of scares me. They have all been great books and I enjoyed them immensely but the rate at which I read them is what scares me the most. The books are really good and I think that many other people should read them. I am going to name them here.

My True Love Gave to Me by Stephanie Perkins

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Atlantia by Ally Condie

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

The Young Elites by Marie Lu

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. Last Friday four minutes before Saturday began, my 91 year old Grandma passed away. She was my last living grandparent and I loved her dearly. She had been failing mentally for many years but it really got bad back in September. She stopped remembering who even my father was and it got harder and harder to see her that way. I was reminded at her wake on Tuesday of the grandmother that I grew up with. She was an amazing person who loved her family with her whole heart. Some of my best childhood memories include my Grandma. She was the person who let my older sister and I eat cereals my mother never would and not only that but she let us eat them in front of the television. She crafted with us and made us American Girl doll clothes, Barbie clothes and one Halloween she even made our costumes. She was never one to tell us to go away and she always had time for us. I have had a hard time these last few years reconciling the woman she had become with the woman I remembered. I feel a little guilty that I did not see her more when I had the time but she will always be in my heart. Grandma- I love you and will miss you forever! Say hi to Grandpa and Papa Teddy. Tell Aunt Elizabeth that she is missed. Watch over us and keep us safe.

First Day of School

It is honestly very hard to believe that today is already the first day of school! I am always amazed at how fast the summer goes by. I can’t really believe that college started again today!

Sons of Anarchy

I am such a television geek! I am the type of person who always gets excited as more and more information starts to come out. I can NOT wait for the final season of SOA to come out! I am the kind of person who doesn’t get into something slowly or cautiously, I always fall hard and fast for a show and SOA was no different. I am also the type of person who always ‘ships hard and fast. I fell hard for Jax and Tara quickly! (Season six spoilers ahead)………………………………………………………….. I am going to miss Tara soo much this season! Hopefully it is a good final season unlike True Blood and Dexter!

Books I love

I am currently in the process of devouring the Legend trilogy. I read the second book in a day and a half. I love the idea of reading books at my own speed! People need to read more when they have the time!

Family Time

This past Friday, my family and my boyfriend came to see my library. I am a person who loves to spend time with my family. After a tour of the library, we went out to dinner at a local restaurant and spent some of  the best family time we have had in a long time. This weekend, my uncles and my cousin come to celebrate my Grandma’s 91st birthday. This weekend could be interesting!

Books I read recently

I just finished reading Four: The Complete Collection. I really enjoyed getting to read some of the key points from Divergent from Four’s perspective. It gave me a little more insight into why he does what he does later one. I am currently reading Eleanor and Park on my sister’s recommendation and I am loving it. Everything about it speak to me on some level. I hope to write more later. Quick Confession: I am probably going to be really bad about remembering to update this blog.
